ROOM HIRE
Three of our spaces — the Hop Room, the Restaurant and the Bar - can be hired privately for parties, family gatherings and meetings. To be clear before you read on: these are rooms to hire for a few hours, not rooms to sleep in. The Peacock doesn’t offer overnight stays.
The Hop Room
Furnished with hops and hop sacks, the homeliest section of the pub.
The Restaurant
The brightest of the three, with the patio right outside. It suits longer lunches and the sort of party that drifts outdoors by mid-afternoon.
The Bar
The heart of the building — beams, fireplace and hand pumps, much as it has been since 1387. For a bigger celebration, there’s the option of taking the bar itself.
We’d rather not guess seat counts on a page. Tell us the number and the occasion, and we’ll tell you what fits.
One practical note: room hire is arranged directly with us by phone or email, not through the table-booking page - that system is for individual dinner tables and knows nothing about private functions.
